Product and application development
I can take part from the initial idea to building a first working version and its evolution.
I'm Edgar Martínez Vite, a software engineer. I turn problems, needs and ideas into working technology solutions, from the initial research to development and delivery.
I especially enjoy challenges where there is no defined solution yet: understanding a need, researching options, designing an architecture, building a prototype and turning it into a usable tool or application.
I'm interested both in building new products and in improving existing tools and systems.
I believe innovating does not always mean replacing what already works. Many technologies hold years of knowledge and business logic that are still valuable. My approach is to understand them, make use of their capabilities and find ways to connect them with new tools so they can keep evolving.
I also look for ways to improve everyday processes: tasks that can be automated, internal applications that are needed or integrations that can simplify a team's work.
I can take part from the initial idea to building a first working version and its evolution.
I develop services, applications and connections between systems, working with databases and technologies both current and well established.
I build tools to automate processes and work with pipelines, containers, infrastructure and cloud services.
I use artificial intelligence to support my engineering process: analysis, development, testing and documentation, keeping technical judgment and validating the results.

Vitrivium brings together my own projects, which I develop to research, experiment and build solutions.
Among them are Vitrivium Pipeline Studio, a free application under development to visually design Apache Airflow DAGs and GitHub Actions workflows, and Vitrivium IBM i Discovery, a static analysis tool to explore enterprise applications and their technical relationships.
These projects reflect how I work: identify a problem, research, build and check the results.

I can work independently or collaborate with teams, on new products as well as on the evolution of existing systems.
